Happy Birthday America!
Scheduling Change: Our planned July event, The Caruso Midget racing Museum, has been cancelled due to work being done at the facility.
So now our July Event is the Lake Mead Dinner Cruise on Sunday evening July 30th (6:30 - 8:30). If you are interested in attending and have not already made your intentions known, please contact Fosco at firstname.lastname@example.org for price, menu, and booking details
Jim & Gerry Carr are back from The Studebaker International Meet in South Bend. They took nearly 100 great photos of Studebakers at the event as well as some from the Studebaker National Museum.
Somehow, Jim & Gerry managed to not end up in any of the photos... I guess they figured you’d rather see the cars & trucks. They also provided a brief narrative of their trip.
The pictures are high definition which show great details. Unfortunately, space and memory limitations don’t allow me to post them all on the web page. So I have selected a few personal favorites and put together a thumbnail page with many more. If you see thumbnails of vehicles you like, email me and I will send you the full size images.
Looking through these I am impressed by the diversity. There are impeccably restored cars in original colors & trim... there are highly customized cars... and there are many Studebakers that have minor modifications to suit owners tastes. One thing about Studebaker people: they are not afraid to add their personal touches... and for the most part, they have pretty good taste.
Congratulations to long time Tumbleweeds member Rich Ritzo and Karen Ross on their recent engagement!
